SEMI AUTOMATIC TIN PLATE SEAM WELDING MACHINE
The side seam welder welds tinplate, stainless steel black plate and
edge ground T.F.S. bodies by using copper wire as an intermediate
electrode between the welding rollers and only three working
operations are necessary i.e. blank cutting, roll forming and seam
welding. The individual operations for seam welding such as body
clamping, feeding, switching on and off the welding current are
carried out automatically on the machine.
Control
Fully solid state electronic control sequences the logic of the
machine. Plug in type PCB's have been used to keep the down time to
bare minimum
Advantages of the process
-
Profile of welding rollers remaining the same, maintenance
and cleaning operations are not necessary
-
Uniform, narrow and consistent welds at highest operating
speeds are achieved
-
Resale value of the tin coated copper wire decreases only
marginally
-
Notching of roll formed blanks not
necessary
-
Insignificant production costs
-
Saving in tin plate
Advantages of the Machine
- Due to compact design and reduced
space requirements the machine can be incorporated in existing
production line
- Less maintenance and low down time
due to fully solid state electronic control
- Prompt after sales service
